From LAX to Miami, nonstop service is offered on American, and connecting service (change of planes) is offered on Continental, American, Delta and US Airways. Restricted round-trip fares begin at $368.
Norwegian Cruise Line’s Epic will make Caribbean cruises from Miami through the end of April, with Saturday departures alternating between the Eastern and Western Caribbean. Fares range from $799 to $5,500 a person, double occupancy, with studio suites starting at $749. The Epic will make a transatlantic crossing from Miami to Barcelona on May 7. From May 18 through Oct. 16, 2011, it will offer seven-day cruises from Barcelona, Spain, through the western Mediterranean.
