Wine dinner and Alegria Reserve release party

Highlights: Five-course gourmet meal, each course paired with a Birdstone Winery wine; live and box auction. Event benefits the Alegria Guild of Children’s Hospital Central California.

Ultimate Boarder

Highlights: Contest’s first outing, billed as only one of its kind in the U.S. Triple-sport competition includes snowboarding at Squaw Valley, surfing in Ventura and skateboarding at the fairgrounds; pits pros alongside amateurs; top prize $30,000.

San Francisco International Film Festival
