Las Vegas: The Palms will let guests stay in rooms a full 24 hours

The Palms is offering Vegas visitors an opportunity to stay in their hotel rooms for a full 24 hours.
In recent years, check-in times have grown later and check-out times earlier, drawing complaints from guests who note that they are getting to spend less than a day.
The “24-hour checkout experience” at the Palms, a popular hotel off the Las Vegas Strip, lets guests check out 24 hours after they check in. No more having to vacate before noon to avoid additional charges (or calling to beg for time).
Guests booking on the hotel’s website (the only way they can get this feature) can choose from one of three room classes, including “superior,” the property’s basic room. On arrival, they’ll be asked for a cellphone number so the hotel can text them on their day of departure to remind them of their individual check-out times.
There is no additional charge for the feature.
“Twenty-four-hour checkout allows our guests to make the most of their visit at Palms and enjoy flexibility with their travel plans, whether that includes enjoying extra time at the pool or staying late to avoid traffic,” Christopher Joy, vice president of hotel operations, said in a statement.
