USC quarterback Cody Kessler selected Pac-12 offensive player of week

USC quarterback Cody Kessler, who passed for four touchdowns in the Trojans’ season-opening, 52-13 victory over Fresno State, was selected Pac-12 Conference offensive player of the week.
Kessler completed 25 of 37 passes for a career-best 394 yards. He also rushed for 28 yards and a touchdown.
USC amassed 701 yards while running a Pac-12 record 105 plays.
Kessler will lead the Trojans against Stanford on Saturday at Stanford Stadium. The Cardinal defeated UC Davis, 45-0, in its opener.
Last season, Kessler was selected Pac-12 player of the week after completing 25 of 37 passes for 288 yards and a touchdown in a 20-17 victory over Stanford at the Coliseum.
UCLA linebacker Eric Kendricks was selected defensive player of the week, Utah’s Kaelin Clay special teams player of the week.
