Kings make first cuts of training camp

The Kings made their first cuts of training camp Tuesday, reassigning six 2104 draft picks to their respective junior teams.
Defenseman Jacob Middleton (seventh round) was reassigned to Ottawa of the Ontario Hockey League, and defenseman Roland McKeown (second round) was returned to Kingston of the OHL.
Center Michael Amadio (third round) was reassigned to North Bay of the OHL, center Jake Marchment (sixth round) to Belleville of the OHL, left wing Matthew Mistele (sixth round) to Plymouth of the OHL, and right wing Spencer Watson (seventh round) to Kingston.
In addition, four players were released from camp: goaltender Brandon Maxwell, centers Taylor Burke and Conor McGlynn, and defenseman Stephen Harper. All four had been invited to camp on tryouts.
Fifty players remain in camp.
