F1 legend Michael Schumacher moved to Swiss home from hospital

Michael Schumacher has left the hospital and will continue his recovery from severe head injuries at his Swiss home, his manager said Tuesday.
The record seven-time Formula One racing champion sustained the injuries in a skiing accident in the French Alps in late December. He required two surgeries and was in a medically induced coma for weeks.
“Considering the severe injuries he suffered, progress has been made in the past weeks and months,” his manager Sabine Kehm said in a statement. “There is still, however, a long and difficult road ahead.”
Schumacher, 45, spent six months at a hospital in Grenoble, France, and was transferred to a hospital in Lausanne, Switzerland, in mid June.
Kehm said Schumacher is now at his home in Gland, near Geneva, but the manager did not provide details about Schumacher’s injuries or current condition. That’s been the case since the German driver was hurt.
“We ask that the privacy of Michael’s family continue to be respected and that speculations about his state of health are avoided,” Kehm said.
