Dodgers phenom Yasiel Puig, who did not start the season in the major leagues, was one of the three most popular players in the second half of the season.
That ranking, based on jersey sales at mlb.com, was released by Major League Baseball on Thursday.
Mariano Rivera, the retiring star closer of the New York Yankees, sat atop the list followed by New York Mets rookie pitcher Matt Harvey, who started the All-Star Game for the National League.
Puig ranked third, with Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw sixth and rookie pitcher Hyun-jin Ryu 17th. The Dodgers and New York Yankees were the only teams with three players ranked in the top 20.
