Update: There was a Los Angeles-based Pac-12 Conference basketball team expected to light up scoreboards, but it wasn’t UCLA. However, the Bruins are third in the nation in scoring, shooting percentage, assists and assists per turnover. Four UCLA players are averaging double figures, including freshman Zach LaVine, whose 13.8 points have come off the bench. Duke also has a talented freshman, and he’s among the best players in the nation. Jabari Parker, a 6-foot-8 forward, leads the Blue Devils with averages of 22 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. Duke also features Rodney Hood, a 6-8 redshirt sophomore forward who averages 18.9 points and 5.0 rebounds, and Quinn Cook, a 6-2 junior guard who averages 14.7 points and 6.6 assists.
