The first of today’s six state final games has begun at Sleep Train Arena and Sierra Canyon is 16 minutes away from its second straight state title, leading Justin-Siena 32-15 at halftime.
Cheyanne Wallace has 11 points and seven rebounds and Kennedy Burke, Zoe Goss and Alexis Griggsby all have seven points for Sierra Canyon, which held the Braves to four points in the second quarter.
Northern California teams won four of the six state final games Friday, but the Trailblazers are trying to reverse that trend by winning the first of the three girls games today. There are also three boys games, culminating in the Open Division final at 8 p.m. between Mater Dei and Bishop O’Dowd.
