Gardena Serra has defeated Narbonne 36-13 in tonight’s intersectional showdown in Harbor City.
Adoree’ Jackson and Darrion Naylor each scored two touchdowns and Jordan Lasley caught a touchdown pass for the Cavaliers (5-0), ranked #3 in the Southland by The Times.
Jackson had a 102-yard interception return and also ran 52 yards on a fake punt in the second quarter. He finished with 78 yards in eight carries and caught three passes for 20 yards.
“It’s all about staying hungry, humble, healthy and happy,” Jackson said. “This was a big win because you never want to lose to your friends and I know so many of their guys. Now it’s time to rest up, watch film and come back with the same mentality the next game.”
Eban Jackson threw for 135 yards but threw three interceptions for Narbonne, the defending City Section champion. Johnell Jackson and Larry Seuga had short TD runs for the Gauchos (3-2), who trailed 16-7 at halftime.
Narbonne beat Serra 22-9 last season.
