Football: Hart and Chaminade are ready for rematch
- Share via
One of the most intriguing CIF state championship regional bowl games this weekend is tonight’s Division II matchup between Hart and Chaminade at College of the Canyons. If the rematch is anything like the teams’ first encounter in early September, fans are in for quite a treat.
Hart pulled out that nonleague clash 55-54 in overtime thanks to a school-record seven touchdown passes by Brady White, but the Eagles are riding high after their last-second upset of Mission League rival Serra in the Western Division final.
Chaminade (12-2), ranked fifth in California by Cal-Hi Sports, is led by Miami-bound quarterback Brad Kaaya and Colorado commit Donovan Lee, who has scored 41 touchdowns. The Indians (12-2), ranked 19th in the state by Cal-Hi avenged a Foothill League league defeat to Valencia with a 28-21 victory in the Northern Division final last week.
Kickoff is at 7:30 and fans from both schools are filing in rapidly. Log back on for scoring updates.
