Football: Chaminade seeks to avenge its loss to Serra
- Share via
Chaminade has a chance to avenge its loss to Serra in the biggest game of the season -- tonight’s Southern Section Western Division championship in Gardena.
The Eagles (11-2) lost to Serra 36-0 in Mission League play and 30-28 in last year’s section final. They are led by Miami-bound quarterback Brad Kaaya, who has thrown for 23 touchdowns and only five interceptions.
The top-seeded Cavaliers (13-0) are playing not only for their fourth CIF title in five seasons but possibly a berth in next week’s CIF Open division regional playoff game. Boise State-bound quarterback Jalen Greene has thrown for 30 touchdowns and run for 14.
