Football: Chaminade beats Oaks Christian, 21-14

Brad Kaaya’s one-yard quarterback sneak on fourth-and-goal completed a 13-play, 74-yard drive that gave Chaminade a 21-14 lead with 2:30 left and the Eagles held on to beat host Oaks Christian.
Oaks Christian drove to the Eagles’ 13-yard line but then quarterback Brandon Dawkins threw four straight incompletions and Chaminade ran out the clock. Chaminade is ranked #2 in the Western Division.
Kaaya threw for 183 yards, Donovan Lee carried 32 times for 197 yards and a touchdown and kicker Ben kreitenberg made field goals of 27 and 35 yards for the Eagles (3-1), who now have a week off before hosting Serra League power Sherman Oaks Notre Dame.
Dawkins completed 17 of 34 passes for 245 yards, Chris Davis caught 10 passes for 127 yards and one TD and Jamie Sullivan kicked field goals of 51 and 39 yards for Oaks Christian (3-1), which entered the game ranked fifth in the Pac-5 Division.
