Thanksgiving morning at Narbonne High

A Narbonne football player showed up Thursday morning for practice wearing Harvard pajama bottoms. Hey, it was Thanksgiving.
Most prep teams still alive in the football playoffs held brief practices and walk throughs on Thursday.
For Narbonne players, it was a feast afterward. Each player brought food or drink contributions as part of a potluck gathering that featured chicken, tamales and cupcakes in a meal prior to eating turkey dinner in the evening.
Football teams are like families, so hanging out together on Thanksgiving was just another way for everyone to express their thanks.
Narbonne Coach Manuel Douglas addressed the team afterward (see video). And standout tackle Alex Akingbulu announced he was headed to UCLA.
