Girls’ volleyball: Only one upset in opening matches of City Section playoffs

The City Section Division I playoffs in girls’ volleyball began Monday night, and the only upset came when No. 10-seeded Cleveland knocked off No. 7 Bell in four sets.

Thursday’s quarterfinals have No. 8 Hamilton at No. 1 Carson, No. 5 Taft at No. 4 Granada Hills, No. 6 Narbonne at No. 3 Palisades and No. 10 Cleveland at No. 2 El Camino Real.
