Girls’ volleyball: It’s a Carson-ECR City Section Division I final

Carson and El Camino Real, the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds in the City Section Division I girls’ volleyball playoffs, both won challenging semifinal matches on Tuesday night.
Carson defeated Granada Hills in four sets, winning the final, 27-25.
El Camino Real was pushed to five sets by Palisades before prevailing, 15-7, in the fifth set. Kashauna Williams had 15 kills and Kayla Jacks added 12 kills for El Camino Real.
Carson will play El Camino Real in Saturday’s 7 p.m. final at Roybal. Carson defeated the Conquistadores in a nonleague match earlier this season.
In Division II, Chatsworth defeated Sylmar in three sets to advance to the final.
In the Southern Section Division 1AA semifinals, Redondo defeated Huntington Beach in four sets. Santa Ana Mater Dei defeated Great Oak in four sets. Redondo will face Mater Dei on Saturday at 8 p.m. at Cerritos College.
