Girls’ golf: Palm Desert’s JiYoon Jang wins Southern Section individual title

JiYoon Jang of Palm Desert shot a 66 on Thursday at Western Hills Country Club to win the Southern Section individual girls’ golf title.
There were 72 players in the field.
Walnut, Palm Desert, Mira Costa and San Marino are the teams that advanced to the CIF/WSCGA Southern State Regional on Nov. 12 at Goose Creek Golf Club.
Allison Wang of Walnut shot a 67.
