Football: Valencia-Palmdale game will reveal plenty
- Share via
There might not be a more important nonleague game than Friday’s matchup between Valencia and host Palmdale. Both teams have aspirations of becoming championship teams, and the outcome of the game could reveal plenty.
Palmdale opened last week with a 42-7 win over Ridgecrest Burroughs. Valencia is making its season debut, and Coach Larry Muir makes it clear that his team will find out where it stands against the Falcons.
Palmdale has standout running back Demario Richard. Valencia is expected to use safety Jay Jay Wilson to try to slow down Richard.
Palmdale is ranked No. 2 in the Northern Division rankings behind No. 1 Hart. Valencia is No. 3.
