Football: Talented sophomore Zane Pope sets the standard for Moorpark
- Share via
Veteran Moorpark Coach Tim Lins has found out a way to figure out whether his team will be ready this season.
He simply looks into the eyes of his sophomore standout, safety-receiver Zane Pope, and learns what’s ahead.
On Friday, Pope had an interception, made a catch, had a couple impressive punt returns and helped Moorpark defeat Quartz Hill, 23-0.
“He had a good look in his eye before the game,” Lins said.
Next up for Moorpark is Palos Verdes on Friday.
Pope better pass the eyeball test.
