Football: St. Francis to induct Bill Redell in its athletics hall of fame

Bill Redell might set a world record for being in the most hall of fames.
On Sept. 27 at halftime of the St. Francis-Damien game, he will be inducted into the St. Francis Athletics Hall of Fame. He was the Golden Knights’ coach from 1993-99.
He’s already in the College Football Hall of Fame for his playing days at Occidental College. He’s in the Crespi Hall of Fame for his coaching days. He also was a successful coach at Oaks Christian, which is so new it doesn’t have a hall of fame. It will be his 11th hall of fame induction.
The always glib Redell might offer to call plays for St. Francis Coach Jim Bonds, his former assistant.
Bonds responded by saying that could be a problem for Redell. The only play he knew, the Fumblerooski, has been banned.
