Football: South Gate to forfeit win over Westchester
- Share via
South Gate will forfeit a victory over Westchester this season because two players who had transferred and played in the game were not cleared by the City Section athletics office, South Gate Coach Jose Casagran said.
The players did not play football last season but still needed clearance from the previous schools and the City Section. South Gate gave approval to play but the City Section had not signed off, according to Casagran.
South Gate drops to 2-1 on the season.
The players did not play against University, played against Eagle Rock but will not be allowed to play the next two games.
