Football: QB Travis Waller comes through for Servite
- Share via
All the experience quarterback Travis Waller of Servite gained a year ago playing as a sophomore helped him stand out on Friday night, when Servite upset No. 2-ranked Long Beach Poly, 31-24.
Waller ran for 176 yards and passed for 144 yards to give first-year Coach A.J. Gass a huge victory.
“I am very of proud of the kids. They came out with a plan and executed that plan,” Gass said. “They played ferocious on defense and executed extremely well on offense. Waller took the offense on his back and carried us a lot of the way.”
