Football: Kennedy will play Granada Hills on Friday as scheduled

Despite uncertainty over the absence of head coach Dion Lambert and failing to practice last week, Granada Hills Kennedy intends to play Granada Hills, as scheduled, on Friday in a nonleague football game, according to a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Unified School District. Kennedy forfeited its game against Grant last week.
Lambert is one of four coaches who were temporarily relieved of their coaching responsibilities after a reported incident involving an injured player two weeks ago.
The LAUSD spokeswoman said in an email that Kennedy Principal Suzanne Blake is in the process of “interviewing people to secure interim coaches.” In the meantime, two walk-on coaches that are approved for JV, along with the athletic director, Kevin Kanemura, are supervising the practice sessions for JV and varsity.
