Freshman Charles Mincy Jr. got promoted to varsity in the middle of the season, and Dorsey’s offense hasn’t been the same.
The running back has been a key figure in helping the Dons (7-5) reach Friday’s City Section Division I semifinal game against No. 1-seeded Narbonne.
He is the son of the former Dorsey and Washington standout who serves as an assistant coach with the Dons.
He has 351 yards in six games and is averaging 12.5 yards a carrry.
