The City Section Division I and II football championship games on Friday at East Los Angeles College drew a paid crowd of 3,491, according to the City athletics office.
That’s not exactly overwhelming figure for games matching South Gate and San Fernando and Crenshaw and Narbonne.
In comparison, the Southern Section Southwest Division final at Angel Stadium on Saturday between Huntington Beach and Newport Harbor drew an announced crowd of 7,097 and the Pac-5 final between Mater Dei and St. John Bosco drew 12,525.
