Football: Bishop Gorman goes for its third win over a top SoCal school
- Share via
Bishop Gorman is located in Las Vegas, but it has set out this season to win the Southern California championship.
First up was a win over Servite. Then came a win over Corona Centennial. Next up is a Friday home game against unbeaten Santa Margarita.
Then, on Sept. 26 at 6 p.m. in Las Vegas, Bishop Gorman will host St. John Bosco in a 6 p.m. nationally televised game on ESPNU.
In each game the Gaels have faced a different challenge. Servite had QB Travis Waller and the option play. Centennial combined its running game with timely passes. And now Santa Margarita will try to unleash quarterback K.J. Costello and receiver Kyle Sweet.
A win by Bishop Gorman will set up probably the game of the year on the West Coast in Bishop Gorman vs. St. John Bosco. The Braves have a bye this week, but Coach Jason Negro will be in Las Vegas scouting both teams.
