Football: Big high school games this week

It’s the fourth week of the high school football season for several teams, and here’s some of the big games this coming week.
On Friday in the City Section, Garfield is at Venice. This is a game that will be important come playoff seeding time and will tell which school has a chance to make the Division I semifinals.
In intersectional games, Dorsey is hosting Alemany. The Dons held their own last week in a 21-10 loss to Santa Margarita. Crenshaw is playing at Bakersfield in a difficult assignment. Banning is trying to prove its 3-0 start is no fluke with a home game against Fountain Valley. Narbonne is playing at Gardena Serra in a battle for South Bay supremacy.
In the Southern Section, JSerra is hosting St. Bonaventure at Saddleback College in a battle of top 25 teams. Bishop Amat faces a strong offensive team on the road at Chino Hills. Long Beach Poly travels to Corona Centennial in a matchup of big-time programs. Corona del Mar faces rival Newport Harbor. Servite takes on Edison at Cerritos College. Upland faces Mater Dei at Santa Ana College. Santa Margarita travels to Las Vegas to take on unbeaten Bishop Gorman.
