Sierra Canyon won’t be getting a banner to put up in the gym after winning Friday night’s Open Division consolation bracket with a 66-62 victory over Bishop Montgomery, but the Trailblazers certainly earned lots of respect and will likely gain the No. 1 seed in Division IV for the Southern California Regionals.
Devearl Ramsey scored 24 points and Cody Riley 17 for Sierra Canyon. Justin Bibbins scored 27 points and Stevie Thompson Jr. had 26 for Bishop Montgomery.
Sierra Canyon outscored the Knights, 25-11, in the fourth quarter.
