Chino Hills didn’t fit the criteria to be selected for the Open Division state playoffs but could have agreed to move up.
The Huskies are seeded No. 1 in Division I.
All eight teams who played in the Southern Section Open Division playoffs but lost in first-round games were selected for the state tournament.
Chino Hills, St. John Bosco (Division II), Chaminade (Division III) and Sierra Canyon (Division IV) were all No. 1 seeds ahead of section champions, showing the strength of the Open Division playoffs.
