Boys’ basketball: Beverly Hills bids for Ocean League title
- Share via
Beverly Hills students could be celebrating an Ocean League championship on Tuesday night if the Normans can get past Inglewood in a tough road test.
Beverly Hills (17-8, 7-1) has a one-game lead over Inglewood and Santa Monica with two to play. The Normans have already swept Santa Monica.
Leading Beverly Hills has been 5-foot-9 senior guard Siavash Yektafar, who scored 30 points last week in a win over Santa Monica. Leave him open from three-point range and he’ll make it with ease.
Beverly Hills plays with a lot of confidence and enthusiasm under Coach Jarvis Turner, a former USC player who used to be the head coach at Birmingham High.
