Baseball: What a day for former Mater Dei standouts Ty Moore and Jeremy Martinez

They play for rival schools now, Ty Moore at UCLA and Jeremy Martinez at USC. But they’re brothers forever after being teammates at Santa Ana Mater Dei, and each came through with hits in the 10th inning on Sunday to deliver victory for their respective teams.

Moore. a sophomore, had a two-run single in the 10th inning to give UCLA an 8-7 win over Washington State.

Martinez, a freshman, had an RBI double in the 10th to break a 3-3 tie and help USC defeat Stanford, 6-3.
