This week’s top 25 baseball rankings by The Times.
1. HARVARD-WESTLAKE (6-0, SS-D1). Sophomore Cameron Deere is eight for 13.
2. JSERRA (4-1, SS-D1). Jake Pries is on a hitting tear.
3. LOYOLA (5-1, SS-D1). Cubs open Mission League vs. Chaminade.
4. TEMECULA VALLEY (4-0, SS-D2). Six hits, eight RBIs for Kyle Plantier.
5. VISTA MURRIETA (6-0, SS-D2). Good pitching, good hitting, good defense.
6. ESPERANZA (5-0, SS-D1). Shortstop Tristan Hildebrandt is a standout.
7. ALISO NIGUEL (5-1, SS-D2). Pitcher Kyle Molnar is 3-0.
8. CHATSWORTH (6-1-1, City-D1). Fr. Tommy Palomera has thrown 14 scoreless innings.
9. HUNTINGTON BEACH (3-2, SS-D1). Freshman Hagen Danner is pitcher on the rise.
10. HART (6-0-1, SS-D1). Indians showing pitching depth.
11. REDLANDS EAST VALLEY (5-0, SS-D2). Casey Sheehan is nine for 14
12. LOS ALAMITOS (3-2, SS-D1). Hitters need to start hitting.
13. GLENDORA (5-2, SS-D2). Won the games that mattered last week.
14. CHINO HILLS (6-0, SS-D2). Israel Fuentes is 10 for 20.
15. MATER DEI (2-3, SS-D1). Trinity League begins on Monday.¿
16. ALEMANY (5-1-1, SS-D1). Brandon Ponticelli is off to great start on mound.
17. GAHR (4-1, SS-D3). Jorge Rivas is hot hitter.
18. GREAT OAK (5-1, SS-D2). San Diego teams are tired of playing Wolfpack.
19. LONG BEACH WILSON (5-2, SS-D1). Chris Betts has three home runs.
20. WARREN (3-0, SS-D3). P Bryan Duenas becomes eligible next month.
21. WEST RANCH (5-2, SS-D1). Foothill League play starts on Wednesday.
22 LAKEWOOD (4-1, SS-D1). Nick Reeser is hitting well.
23 CYPRESS (3-2, SS-D2). Hitting needs to pick up.
24. EDISON (5-2, SS-D1). Pitching is coming through.
