GIRLS’ VOLLEYBALL
Sage Hill def. Beckman
IRVINE — Junior outside hitter Kekai Whitford had 20 kills, 23 digs and two aces to help lead the Lightning to a 18-25, 25-23, 26-28, 25-21, 15-4 nonleague win Tuesday.
Senior libero Allie Mowrey had 22 digs and six aces, junior setter Maddy Abbott amassed 48 assists and senior middle blcoker Juliette Singarella had seven kills and five blocks for Sage Hill (9-4).
The Lightning, ranked No. 1 in CIF Southern Section Division 3-A plays host to JSerra Thursday at 5 p.m.

COSTA MESA — Freshman Alyaa Abdulghany shot par 35 to earn medalist honors and propel the Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League match on Tuesday at Costa Mesa Country Club.
Sophomore Amy Matsuoka shot 36 for CdM (4-0, 2-0 in league), for which Karlie Moses (41), Hanna Hogan (43) and Gabby Finear (45) also scored.
CdM plays host to Dana Hills on Wednesday at Newport Beach Country Club.

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Grace Ferrel shot two-over-par 38 to finish as the medalist for the Sailors in their Sunset League opener Tuesday at SeaCliff Country Club.
Tehya Corona (53), Christina Ferraro (56), Teanna Herrera (59) and Madison Fernandez (64) also scored for Newport Harbor (0-3, 0-1 in league), which plays host to Estancia Thursday at 3 p.m. at Santa Ana Country Club.

NEWPORT BEACH — Kellie Nagasawa and Amira Tarsadia earned one win each in singles for the Lightning in the nonleague match Tuesday.
Marina Anderson/Katelyn Harvey and Abby Ruck/Paige Reyna were the only winners for Sage Hill (1-2) in doubles.
The Lightning plays host to the eighth annual Prep Classic this weekend.

COSTA MESA — Morgan Miller and Eden Steel won 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 doubles for the Eagles in the nonleague match Tuesday.
Estancia (3-2) plays at Foothill Wednesday.

BOYS’ WATER POLO
Estancia 12, Bolsa Grande 3
COSTA MESA — Chris DiFrenza scored four goals and Eli Sperling scored three to help the Eagles win their first game of the season Tuesday.
Shawn Lepard made 11 saves and Cody Nelson had five saves for Estancia (1-2), which lost to Marina, 16-5 on Monday.
Nelson and Aaron Will scored two goals each against Marina.
