Five from CdM boys’ water polo help South OC All-Stars win

Corona del Mar High boys’ water polo seniors Henry Wilde, Will Klein, Hayden Roletter, Alex Taxman and goalie Will Snyder helped the South Orange County All-Stars beat all comers.

The five Sea Kings were part of the all-star team, which won a trio of games recently. The South Orange County All-Stars beat the North Orange County All-Stars in overtime on Dec. 3 at Servite High. Then, on Sunday, the South Orange County All-Stars defeated all-star teams from the San Gabriel Valley and the Inland Empire, also at Servite.

Duje Grubisic, Beckman’s coach, also coached the South Orange County All-Stars.

Wilde, Klein, Roletter, Taxman and Snyder were key players this year in helping the Sea Kings win the Pacific Coast League and advance to the CIF Southern Section Division 2 title game. Snyder was the Most Valuable Goalie in league, with co-captain Wilde and Klein as first-team all-league honorees.

Roletter was second-team all-league, and Taxman an honorable mention.
