Baseball: CdM’s Olson is a repeat first-team pick

Corona del Mar High senior pitcher Brett Olson garnered first-team All-Pacific Coast League recognition for the second straight baseball season.
Olson, who’s heading to Auburn, finished 5-4 with a 3.28 earned run average.
Olson batted .342 with 10 runs batted in, seven doubles and 16 runs. He also played in the outfield.
Olson made the All-Pacific Coast League first team in football in the fall.
Senior Tyler Duncan, a first baseman, outfielder and pitcher, and senior catcher Sam Younesi made the second team for the Sea Kings (8-17, 6-9 in league), who shared fourth place in league and missed the CIF Southern Section Division 2 playoffs for the second straight season.
Beckman’s Chase Bartholomew took home the Pacific Coast League MVP honor.
