PBS SoCaL and the Voice of OC announced a partnership this week that will air new coverage of Orange County governments and politics.
The Costa Mesa-based station’s “Real Orange” news program will regularly feature contributions from the web-based nonprofit news agency. Voice of OC’s first segment airs at 5 p.m. Thursday.
Voice of OC Editor-in-Chief “Norberto Santana has been a frequent guest on ‘Real Orange,’ providing insight into the civic workings of Orange County,” Michael Taylor, PBS SoCaL news director, said in a prepared statement. “We look forward to these regular contributions from such an outstanding news agency.”
Santana added, “Voice of OC and PBS SoCaL both believe Orange County residents need to know and understand what is happening in local governments to insure a healthy, vibrant democracy. This partnership is an excellent way to reach out to a wider audience and expand our ability to investigate, analyze and contextualize.”
