SHORT TAKES:Tickets for upcoming theater season go on sale

Tickets for South Coast Repertory’s upcoming 2007-08 season go on sale Sunday to the general public.

The Costa Mesa theater’s 44th season will open with Stephen Sondheim’s “A Little Night Music” Sept. 7. It includes a mix of drama and comedy, three Theatre for Young Audiences shows and, of course, holiday presentations of “A Christmas Carol” and “La Posada Mágica.”

Tickets range from $15 to $70 and are available online, at the box office or by calling (714) 708-5555. Tickets for the holiday shows will go on sale Aug. 26. The repertory is at 655 Town Center Drive.
