Council to discuss trash litigation in closed session

After an open study session on budget issues, the Newport Beach City Council will meet in closed session Tuesday to discuss a threat of litigation.
Ware Disposal has threatened a lawsuit regarding the company’s contract with the city for residential solid waste and recycling services.
Council members were also set to discuss in closed session negotiations with unrepresented employees of the Newport Beach City Employees Assn., the Newport Beach Professional and Technical Assn., League Assn. of Newport Beach Ocean Lifeguards and the Newport Beach Employees League.
The open study session will begin at 2:30 p.m. in council chambers, 3300 Newport Blvd., Newport Beach.
