THE LAST WORD:Use caution around high surf
- Share via
The tragic drowning of two anglers on Tuesday should serve as the strongest reminder to all of us to take special care when the ocean’s especially turbulent.
On Friday, authorities recovered the body of Fremont resident Sean Shungfei Yeh, who had been reported missing since a high surf apparently swept the 53-year-old and companion, Yi Ni Kwong of Irvine, off a jetty.
The search continues for Kwong’s body.
Please be as careful as you can when those big waves roll in. In fact, it’s best to avoid the shores altogether when powerful gusts stir the ocean.
And a final thought: Keep the grieving families of Yeh and Kwong in your thoughts as they mourn their losses.
