Discussion on gangs
Strategies to address gangs and how much to spend on the issue will be considered today at a Costa Mesa City Council study session.
Police department officials last week gave the council a report recommending a multipronged approach, including stepped-up enforcement and crime surveillance cameras .
Council members will give their first public comments on the report at the 4:30 p.m. meeting in Conference Room 1A at City Hall, 77 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa.
Meeting canceled
Costa Mesa city leaders have canceled today’s meeting of the city redevelopment agency.
The next meeting will be 6:30 p.m., April 10, in the council chambers, 77 Fair Drive.
