Rangers have little trouble with Jaguars

The Rangers jumped out to a 5-0 first-quarter lead against the Jaguars and went on to record a 9-0 victory in a matchup between Adams Division teams at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

Peter Perez Jr. led the scoring with three goals. Cole Geller and Ryan Simmons each scored twice and Andrew Decarlo and Jeremy Morgan added one goal apiece.

Simmons, Decarlo, Owen Barrett and Sam Truxaw each had assists.

Shane Geller had 13 saves in the shutout.

In other Adams Division action

Kings 3, Mighty Pucks 2

The Kings held off a late charge by the Mighty Pucks to secure the victory.

Nicholas Torres, Dylan Hadfield and Noah Gealy scored goals for the Kings. Luke Benavente had an assist and Tyler Gealy finished with 21 saves. Nicholas Upstill scored once with an assist, Logan Sutton scored a goal and Dillon Makoff had 12 saves for the Mighty Pucks.

Sharks 3, Ducks 2

Lily Humphrey and Andrew McConnell each scored in the final period to lift the Sharks past the Ducks.

Humphrey finished with two goals, Sean Leddy had two assists and Blake Leigh finished with 20 saves.

Savannah Gutierrez scored both goals for the Ducks, Dylan Peterson and Hunter Teston each had an assist and Carter Pauli recorded 23 saves for the Sharks.

Penguins 3, Bulldogs 1

Goals by Presley Merrick and Haley Miller in the final period pushed the Penguins past the Bulldogs.

Miller, Karah Gomez and Geoffrey Campbell each had an assist and Adam Lang had seven saves.
