Jim and Barbara de Boom of Newport...

Jim and Barbara de Boom of Newport Beach announce the engagement of

their daughter Jodi Anne de Boom to Zachary Niles Drysdale of

Redding.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Newport Harbor High School and

Cal State Chico, where she earned her bachelor’s degree and a

teaching credential in health education. She has been employed by the

Butte County Department of Behavioral Health as a health-education

specialist for the past five years.

The groom-to-be is the son of Vickie Drysdale of Redding and

George Drysdale of Harrisburg, Pa. He graduated from Anderson High

School in Redding and received his bachelor’s degree in Spanish and

Latin American studies and a teaching credential from Cal State

Chico. He currently teaches at Las Plumas High School in Oroville,

Calif.

A June wedding is planned in Chico.
