SPECIAL EVENTS
The 2005 Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club Leukemia Cup Cruise for a
Cure, an afternoon harbor cruise that helps fund research to cure
blood cancers, will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. June 5 aboard the yacht
Endeavor. Cost is a minimum donation of $100 per person. Information:

SAILING CLASSES
An alternative to beginning sailing classes, for students who
prefer more personalized instruction on a more stable platform, will
be offered by Orange Coast College’s School of Sailing and
Seamanship. The course will be taught aboard a 30-foot Shields sloop
and will meet from 1 to 5 p.m. June 7 and 9 at the center, 1801 Cost
Highway West, Newport Beach. Registration is $329. Information: (949)

A Catalina Cruise aboard Lucinda Mae will be offered by Orange
Coast College’s School of Sailing and Seamanship. The cruise is
designed for sailors with at least intermediate-level skills. The
cruise will take off at 9 a.m. June 4 and return at 5 p.m. June 5 at
the center, 1801 Coast Highway West, Newport Beach. Registration is

Summer Intermediate Lidos classes will be offered by the Orange
Coast College School of Sailing and Seamanship. This class should be
taken upon the completion of a beginning sailing class. Two sections
are offered. One meets Saturdays from
1:45 to 5:30 p.m. June 4 through July 9 and the second meets
Sundays from 1:45 to 5:30 p.m. June 5 through July 10 at the center,
1801 Coast Highway
West, Newport Beach. Registration is $120. Information: (949)
