* Lincoln 3, Mariners Christian 0: The Lincoln fifth- and

sixth-grade boys Gold Division soccer team defeated defending Daily

Pilot Cup champion Mariners Christian, 3-0, in the opening-round of

pool play Tuesday.

Nick Gooding, Nick Rich and Matt Francini scored goals for Lincoln

while Kjell Wolker and Allen Brown contributed assists. Lincoln’s

defense was led by J.D. Dawn, Nick Curci, Spencer Christoff and Joe

Ctvrtlik. Andrew McCormack and Jedd Thayer shared time in goal while

Zack Socoloske, Miguel Delgado, Kevin Gordinier and George Kennedy

played important roles in controlling the midfield for Lincoln.

Timmy Root, Andrew Boehm and Steven Miller led Mariners.

* OLQA 3, Kaiser 2: Jack Presson scored two goals and Nick Potter

added one to lead the Our Lady Queen of Angels fifth- and sixth-grade

boys soccer team to a 3-2 Gold Division victory over Kaiser

Wednesday. Potter, along with Michael Haeri, contributed an assist

each, while Michael Dahl, Michael Madigan, Scott Matthews, Jonathon

Walsh, Brennen Harms and Chase Watson aided in the victory.
