HISTORY OF HITCHCOCK
Orange Coast College is offering a nine-part film history on
Alfred Hitchcock. The series will be moderated by retired OCC
professor H. Arthur Taussig. Each session will be held at 6:30 p.m.

The Fairview Park Friends Committee of Costa Mesa will host its
first Lounge Chair Theatre at Fairview Park, at 6 p.m. Oct. 18. The

The Exchange Club of Newport Harbor will present Dinner and the

KENNEDY LECTURE
Sen. Edward M. Kennedy will deliver the 2003-04 Peltason Lecture

CATTLE BARON’S BALL
The Cattle Baron’s Ball will be held at the Orange County Fair and

NEWPORT HARBOR CHRISTMAS BOAT PARADE
Beautifully decorated yachts, boats, kayaks and canoes will sail
along the harbor in the 95th annual Newport Harbor Christmas Boat

p.m. at Collins Island and last two and a half hours. The parade is

The Family Classics Season for the Orange County Performing Arts
Center will feature a concert tonight on with music by the Pacific
Symphony featuring one of the world’s great violin virtuosos, Midori.
She will play Mendelssohn’s Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in E
minor. Carl St. Clair will then lead the orchestra in a performance
of Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 in D minor. The performance will be at 7
