McCluskey-Fleming

Mr. Robert McCluskey of Oroville, Calif., and Mrs. Ann Worley of

Tustin announce the engagement of their daughter Carrie E. McCluskey

of Costa Mesa to Robert L. Fleming III of Costa Mesa. The bride-elect

graduated from Costa Mesa High School and Orange Coast College. The

future bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Fleming Jr. of Costa

Mesa, graduated from Green Valley High School in Green Valley, Nev.

and the University of Utah. A Nov. 8 wedding is planned in Huntington

Beach at Huntington Beach State Beach.

Pennington-Smiley

Hillary Pennington and Bob Smiley, both of Los Angeles, exchanged

vows at Bel Air Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles on May 17, 2003.

The bride is the daughter of Dan and Mary Pennington of Newport

Beach. She wore a beautiful designer satin dress with beaded bodice,

apron back and long flowing train. The maid of honor was Laura

Eckley. The bridesmaids were: Courtney Pennington, Whitney

Pennington, Daniela Ulliana and Mary Kate Weinkopf. The bridegroom is

the son of John and Jean Smiley of Ventura. The best man was Rob

Hays. The ushers were Jay Gupta, Grant Nieporte, Spencer Pennington

and Chris Weinkopf. The reception took place at the W Westwood-Hotel

with 250 guest in attendance. The couple took a honeymoon trip to St.

Barth. She is employed as a personal assistant in the entertainment

industry. The groom is the son of Judge John Smiley and Mrs. Jean

Smiley of Ventura. He is employed on the writing staff of a TV

series.
