TUESDAY
* La Mirada Street: A resident in the 1300 block said a neighbor
had been washing something into her yard that she feared might kill
her plants. She wanted police to document the case for reference.
* North Coast Highway: Gardeners using leaf-blowers on the roof of
Pavilions were told at 2:06 p.m. that they weren’t allowed in the
city.
* Blue Lagoon: A resident told police at 11:39 a.m. that someone
had broken into his vehicle and stolen a pair of sunglasses and about
$500.
* Glenneyre Street: Police arrested a 50-year-old resident for
trespassing when Orange County sheriff’s deputies caught her on the
property she was evicted from in the 1200 block on July 3.
MONDAY
* South Coast Highway: A visitor at Laguna Brisas complained to
police that the Jacuzzi was full of people at 11:59 p.m. and the
front desk person wouldn’t do anything about it.
* Tree Top Lane: Police received a call that several teenagers
were apparently vandalizing property and driving heavy equipment on
the Top of the World Elementary field. Police didn’t issue citations
to any of the five juveniles they found on the field, none of whom
were driving heavy machinery when police arrived.
* Cliff Drive: Police arrested a 20-year-old resident on suspicion
of possessing a bindle of methamphetamine and on an outstanding
warrant for possession of alcohol as a minor in the 300 block at
about 5 p.m.
SATURDAY
* Manzanita Drive: A resident in the 700 block called police at
11:23 a.m. complaining that a trespassing cat was annoying her dog.
She said she believed the offending cat belonged to a resident in the
unit below her.
* Bluebird Canyon Drive: A resident in the 800 block woke up and
discovered that several cars in the area had been egged overnight.
Police received the call at 6:36 a.m.
* South Coast Highway: Police arrested a 40-year-old transient for
violating a restraining order at around 11:45 p.m. A resident in the
800 block called police saying people were arguing loudly on the
street. The 40-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of resisting
arrest.
JULY 18
* Glenneyre Street: A resident in the 500 block called police
asking that they remove a dead rat from the area.
