A formal announcement of the Daily Pilot...

A formal announcement of the Daily Pilot Cup playing schedules will

be released to each participating team tonight at 7 o’clock in a

Pilot Cup meeting at Kaiser Elementary School in Costa Mesa. At least

one person from each school must be in attendance.

The fourth annual event, which runs May 28 through June 1 at the

Costa Mesa Farm Complex, will feature a record 95 teams, with Kaiser

fielding 10 different teams -- the most of any school.

Some elementary schools in Costa Mesa are not participating. It is

the responsibility of each school’s administration to promote the

event on campus, appoint a coach and field a team.
