The Vibe Tribe Yoga and
Wellness Studio will present a yoga workshop for surfers with
Peggy Hall from 2:30 to 5 p.m. at 301 Main St. No. 109. The $30
workshop is aimed to help surfers increase strength, flexibility,
balance and mental focus, and help prevent and heal injuries.

The Huntington Beach
North Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
will host a Community Service Day at 5402 Heil Ave. Service projects
vary from painting at Westminster High School to quilting for
humanitarian aid at the Stake Center. Service projects will begin at
8 a.m. and end at noon, and a pancake breakfast will take place in

Amnesty International
will present “Civil Liberties After 9/11,” a discussion of the USA
Patriot Act from the ACLU’s perspective. The meeting will be at 7

The YWCA, ENCOREplus and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer
Foundation will offer free breast cancer screenings to the community.
The screenings are conducted in complete privacy and include a

Chamber of Commerce will host the “Surf City Connection,” its
semi-annual Business 2 Business Expo, at the Hilton Waterfront
Pavilion from 4 to 6:30 p.m. This exposition will feature more than
50 vendor exhibits, a variety of demonstrations and $4,500 worth of

CIVIC GROUPS
The Point-to-Point
chapter of the American Needlepoint Guild meets on the fourth
Wednesday of each month (except July and December) at Rodgers Senior
Center at 17th Street and Orange Avenue. Hospitality is at 6:30 p.m.,
followed by a general meeting at 7 p.m. The Guild promotes interest
and provides education in needle arts, particularly needlepoint, and

The Kiwanis Club of
Huntington Beach Surf City Breakfast Club has just formed and will
meet every Tuesday morning at 7 a.m. at the Coco’s on Beach Boulevard
and Garfield Avenue. The club is already 25 members strong and
