Slickshoes roll past Slugs, 10-5

Ethan Loy netted six goals to lead a potent Slickshoes attack in a
10-5 Norris Division victory over the Slugs at Coast 2 Coast Inline
Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.
Loy also picked up a pair of assists.
Teammate Kristian Burkhardt had a big game offensively with three
goals and two assists.
Trevor Whitecotton scored the other Slickshoes goal, Ashley Woody
had three assists, Cody Jackson had one assist and Dane Chavez
recorded 23 saves.
Michael Thomas led the Slugs with three goals, Alex Cook and
Jeremy McHenry each scored once and Elijah Starnes had an assist.
In other games:
Blackhawks 6, Jr. Kings 3
Single goals went to Taylor Baikie, Nicole Chittum, Garrett Smith,
Nicholas Kadletz, Kelly Culhane and Kevin Woyjeck as the Blackhawks
downed the Jr. Kings.
Ian Arnold finished with 16 saves.
Culhane, Kadletz, Aaron Baca-Chavez and Nolan Smith each had an
assist.
Harry Ellis had a goal and two assists to pace the Jr. Kings,
Garrett Farthing and Nikki Morejon each scored once and Taylor Ellis
had an assist.
Timothy Francis had 21 saves.
Ice Dogs 4, Phantoms 2
The Ice Dogs received goals from Matthew Myers, Mason Woodson,
Sarah Aguayo and Amanda Case and assists from Case, Jared Novakovich
and Jason Lally.
Eric Aguayo had 20 saves.
Trevor Brenden and Neal Macpherson each scored, Andrew Mendoza had
an assist and Wesley Whitmer finished with 25 saves for the Phantoms.
Renegades 3, Hat Trix 1
Fourth quarter goals by Jacob Sabraw and Nathaniel Hughes lifted
the Renegades to victory.
Sabraw had two goals and an assist overall, Josh Duchon had two
assists and Brandon White had one.
Matt Bodziak got the win on 19 saves.
The Hat Trix goal came when Lucas Young scored off a Max Olin
feed. Avi Press had 25 saves.
